New pictures and a wonderful party

Hi! Hope everyone had a great weekend! It was so nice to see a lot of you on Sunday. The show was wonderful and I loved getting to see each of you. If you were here, then you've already seen these in person. I love this little Scottie! I whipped him up using a blanket stitch and a little stuffing, added a couple of suckers, and there you a go.... a very cute Valentine!

I really like this paper, for some reason it reminds me of a vintage hanky. The color is a little off...I'm going to have to invest in a light tent!

I also really like that big "Hey There" stamp. That's from Papertrey Ink. Well, thanks for looking and have a great rest of your week!

A couple of new things

I got a new camera! I'm still figuring it out...the pictures aren't quite what I think they should be. But here is a new Valentine decoration (I love her, googly eyes and all!).

I put her on the frame in my office, so I can enjoy her at work. This birdhouse is actually a gift the box. The right side of the roof lifts up, so that goodies can be placed inside.

The template can be found here.

ARRR you mine, Valentine?

Yes, it's a little corny...but cute, don't you think?

I love old valentine cards. They are so fun. They just don't look the same these days. This one has the cutest little cat and I love the pink felt heart.

Isn't this the cutest stamp?
The little guy is so sweet, directing the birds.
My next show is January 24th. If you didn't get an invitation this week and would like one let me know. I've been busy creating new things for everyone to see.

Happy New Year!

Hope you had a wonderful New Year's Eve. We went with Lisa and John to eat and see Sherlock Holmes. I thought Sherlock was really good. It was fun and different from previous actors' Sherlock Holmes portrayals. Although there is also a lot of similarities, just a little grittier. The above card was done for Kirby (who I work with) to give his wife. There first date was on New Year's Eve so they still give each other a little something. Isn't that sweet?

My mom and dad's 48th wedding anniversary was this week. Here are a couple of cards I did for them to give each other. This one was for Mom to give to Daddy. Made from lots of Jenni Bowlin, including her new calendar cards.

This one was for Daddy to give to Mom. I think the image is so sweet!

Happy Anniversary, Mom and Dad! I love you!

Mom and Dad's Christmas Gift

Hi! I'm already busy working on my next show. Had to transition from Christmas to Valentine's and Easter! Yes, Valentine's and Easter already! But, first I wanted to share the Christmas gift I made for my mom and dad. The tree is from Kaisercraft. It is really awesome and easy to work with. All the pieces come apart so painting and papering is a snap! I used some Collage Press paper and painted the trunk and limbs velvet brown and sprayed it with Walnut Gold Tattered Angels mist. Instead of the wooden ovals that came with it, I used Tattered Angels frames for our pictures and finished it off with ribbon, vintage buttons, and a banner. I used some of my favorite pictures...that's Lauren on the top at about two years and then Lauren and Paul in Paris. That's my mom and dad's wedding photo to the left, my grandma and me (when I was little), another of Lauren (who's the favorite here, I wonder?), and then a wedding photo of Dennis and me. I'm really happy with how this turned out!

Merry Christmas!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! Ours was a little strange, since travel was almost impossible. We actually set a record here in OKC! My parents and Paul's mom and brother couldn't get here, so we are going to have the rest of our Christmas today. I love the Madonna image I used on this card. She is so pretty!
