Purrfect Valentines

Granny.  Grandma.   A guy at work keeps calling me granny - hoping to get a rise out of me, I think.   Everyone keeps asking me "What do you want to be called?"  Well, I don't have a problem with Granny or Grandma.  I really don't need a name that makes me seem younger.  I'm happy to be a grandma!  I guess I'll just let Louisa decide.  After all, whatever she calls me will be PURRFECT!

This was a fun card to put together.  I tested out my new chameleon pens on the two kitties.  I'm not sure about the markers yet.  There is a bit of a learning curve and while they are cool, they can't quite do what Copics do.  

I built the shaker on the back of the front panel of the card.  

It's finished off with a scallop die cut to hide the pieces of the shaker.

Scotty Valentines + Heart Ornaments

Do you make New Year's Resolutions?  I never have, but I think it might be time.  I'm overrun by crafting goodies and I need to do something about it.  So my New Year's Resolution is to:

USE MY (OLD) STUFF!

So, what's old stuff here?  The red polka and gingham papers, white sack, the deco-look frame and the project life card.  I'm pretty sure I've had those little black and silver gems for about 5 years!

You've probably seen lots of these heart ornaments.  

I can't stand to see the staples or the ends of the hanger glued to the outside of one of the hearts.  It doesn't take much more time to follow the tips above and you don't have anything unsightly ruining the cuteness of the ornaments!

Panda Love + Valentine Giveaway

I came across this darling Panda and all the other goodies that match at Shabby Miss Jenn's Designs.  I had to have it - had to make a Valentine.  I LOVE the hearts included in Panda Love.  In fact, it's all adorable!  There are also the cutest Panda Love Cards which I also have and I'm putting them on my list for some cute 2015 Valentines!  Nothing like thinking ahead!

The word art is also included, making this super easy to put together.  I made a heart shaped card from heavy duty cardstock and adhered this heart to the front. I noticed when I was making the links for this set, that there is a Valentine Shoppe set up with lots of cute things!

I do have a giveaway for Valentines and I'm so sorry I didn't post it sooner.  The time has certainly gotten away from me!  You might have to be like me and plan ahead to 2015!   There's a set of 17 stamps, 4 heart cut out tags (2 pink, 2 red), 4 cupid medallions, and red and white twine.

Vintage Image Valentine to Share with You

My favorite valentines are vintage and I must confess, I lean toward the cheap boxed ones that kids used to give to each other and their teachers.  They are just so cute!  These two are no exception.  Don't you just want to pinch their sweet cheeks?

Be Mine, Valentine

Did you take a shoebox to school when you were little to decorate as a Valentine mailbox?  I can remember how excited we all were and how fun it was to decorate the boxes with heart doilies and red construction paper.

This little couple reminds me of the valentines from when I was really little.
