Sketch Day at Paper Sweeties

Click here or scroll down one to see my castle for the My Time Made Easy release.

It's time for a new sketch at Paper Sweeties.  Here it is:

This is a great sketch - so much fun to interpret.  Here's my treat bag:

I used the Banner Wishes stamp set and stamped sentiments all over the bag.  The bag is actually made from some heavy duty tissue paper that I picked up at Michaels after Christmas.   Visit the Paper Sweeties blog for all the information on the sketch and prize.  You've got a whole month, so I hope to see your creation posted!

Castle in the Clouds

It's Release Day at My Time Made Easy!  Today, I'm showcasing the new template:  Castle in the Clouds.

It's a great template - easy and quick to put together.  The purple check paper is also part of the new release.

To see the entire February release, check out the New Products section of the store.  For lots of wonderful ideas, check out these blogs:

Use Your Die Cut Machine

It's time for a new two week theme at Craft Us Crazy.  It's Use Your Die Cut Machine (or another Favorite Technique).  That's a pretty easy challenge to meet!  Our sponsor is The Cutting Cafe.

I had a request for a special tag for a mom, so I put that together with this challenge.  I used a very sweet image from Iralamija.  And packaged the tag in an embossed envelope that I created using the Seed Packet cut file from The Cutting Cafe.

Check out the Craft us Crazy blog for all the details on the prize for this challenge and other inspiration, too.

A Ride in a Coach, Princess?

It's that time - new stuff at My Time Made Easy!  And good stuff, it is.  The new Riding in Coach cut file is adorable!

I bet you have a little princess that would love this - it works great as a gift bag, party favor, how about room decoration?   I added the The King's Crown in miniature on the top, as the crowning touch.  (Sorry, couldn't resist!)

The pretty tag is from the new sentiment collection:  Simply Enchanting.

Be sure to come back tomorrow to see more of the new release.  Visit these blogs to see more  carriage ideas:

Enjoy!

Kiss Countdown

Hi, everyone!  Here I am again lamenting on how time flies.  Could January almost be over already??  I had a lovely weekend - hosted one of my parties.   Had a great turnout and now I'm doubly busy getting projects finished!  At the end of the post, I'll share some food pics from the party.

I came across a really cute kiss countdown at Qbees Quest.  She even has a pretty awesome tutorial.  (All her measurements are accurate - I love that!)  I followed her tutorial to create a kiss countdown of my own.  I oriented the box horizontally, instead of vertically and it seems to work well both ways.

It's an amazingly sturdy little box and just perfect for kisses.  I didn't have the same punch that she has to make the doors, so I used a petal card from the Silhouette store and sized it down to  one inch.  My pictures are a little gray, I didn't take them in the best light!   I may need to try to get better pictures...

On Sunday, we served what I'm calling Inside Out Cream Puffs.  I love using our Asian spoons for bite sized desserts.  This is what I came up with so that we could serve our wonderful cream puffs, but in the spoons I love:

And this is red velvet brownies followed by our famous sugar cookies.  I have actually been threatened bodily harm if I ever neglect to serve our sugar cookies - so I have made them a tradition!

Dennis and I also served a strawberry punch.  We love to make ice rings, so Dennis made a strawberry one this time.

It was hilarious because it was lopsided and floated around the bowl on its side.  Not quite what we had in mind!  And amazing how easily amused I am...

If you would like a recipe for anything, just email me and I 'll send it off.

Thank you for stopping by - have a wonderful week!

Valentine Tags

Got a couple of Valentine tags to show today.  I just love creating for Valentines Day (I think it might be tied with Halloween as a favorite)!    I've been TRYING to use paper that I've had for awhile. I was going through my Sassafras Lass box of paper and came across this darling paper that I've had forever.

Just love this bright tag!  Those elephants are so cute!

It seems lots of people can't get enough of owls and this one is a cutie.   For the life of me, I can't remember where this is from!  I've had the set about a year now and did not mark the stamp set when I took it out of the packaging.  Do you know?

Don't forget the  Sketch Challenge at Paper Sweeties is ongoing.  You've still got time to link up your creation.  Here's a look at the sketch:

And the new stamp release winners have been announced here.  Hope January has been treating you right!  Are you in the deep freeze?  We're cooling off some tomorrow (today it was 67) , but not even close to up north.  Glad you stopped by!

Heart Tin

I've discovered something pretty cool - I may be the last person on earth to have discovered it, but I'll tell you about it anyway...  It's a product called Pearl Pen.  I don't remember what I was really looking for, but this caught my attention.  I have to say, I am really impressed with how it works!  No air bubbles (so far) and it really stays in pearl form - no flattening at all!  I got mine from Stuff4Painting.  I only got cream and black.  Now I'm going back for more!

This darling vintage image is from Nicecrane Designs.  You can also see the pearls made with the pearl pen.  I bought a bunch of these red heart tins years ago.  I've used them several times, but felt like they needed to be covered.  But, this time I felt like this little cutie matched the red perfectly.  Also, instead of placing it bottom down, I decided to design it tilted on its side.

I wrapped the bottom with a couple rows of a punched border die.  Ignacio has quite a few wonderful Valentine images to choose from.

This is just one of the sets. Check out Nicecrane Designs for Valentine images here.  And check out the blog for more pretty projects.  Have a wonderful week!
