Make It A Black Cat, Please!

Do you need another black cat card?  I've got a cute one all ready to print.  I had a request from another grandma wanting two different black cat cards.  She used this one from earlier.  Love this one with the pink pumpkin!

So easy just to print, cut and fold.  Well, I added a little extra to it, you know!  Just stamped Happy Halloween at the top and added some ribbon and an orange sequin.

Download the Black Cat card HERE.

Dropbox seems to work differently for different people.  When the image appears, wait a moment and a download button will appear in the top right corner.  If download button does not appear, right click on the image and save as.  I'm always happy to email the image to you, if neither one works!

Last day to link up to the challenge HERE.

Have a wonderful week!

Black Cat Treat Bag Printables

Let's make it easy!  Do you need a cute Halloween Treat Bag?  You can whip this up in a jiffy and have a not-so-scary Halloween treat for a little sweetie or maybe for a "You've Been Boo'd" gift.  We used to do the "You've Been Boo'd" thing at school and I kind of miss it!

The black cat in a pumpkin and the bag are both printables.   You've got some options on the bag and I talk about those, as well as show how to make the gussets in the video below:

You can download the black cat + pumpkin HERE.

You still have a week to link up to the Halloween Challenge.   You can link Halloween, fall, orange and black creations!

Halloween Shaker Easel Card Printable + Video

Welcome to the second Halloween post for 2016!  I was so excited to find this vintage Halloween candle holder.  At least, I think it's a candle holder.  A little candle could be inserted through the middle and held underneath the paper circle, keeping the wax off little hands.  Does sound a little dangerous, doesn't it?

So let's put it to a different, cuter, cooler use, shall we?  I've got it all ready to print out,

including the sentiment.  Love the curly-tailed black cat!

I turned the candle holder into a shaker easel card.

It's so easy to make!  See the video below:

Black Cat Halloween Printable + Origami

Can't get enough black cats.  They're purr-fect!  I adore my old green-eyed black cat (as I've mentioned at least once before).  We just got back from Denver and I think he actually missed me!

I fell in love with this adorable origami cat box designed by Gay Merrell Gross.  Here's a link to the video:  https://youtu.be/EMlwU_fV7Rs.

Eyes or no eyes?  I debated back and forth.  Tried several different eyes.  Didn't like any of them.  Decided to leave the face in that true origami form.  However, I did not abide by other origami principles.  I used 65lb black cardstock - usually way to heavy for origami.  But, I wanted him to be sturdy.  Sturdy enough to hold candy corn.

Tips for using heavier paper to make the cat box:

1.  Use a bone folder on the initial horizontal, vertical and diagonal folds.
2.  Press firmly on every fold.
3.  Staple the head to the body.  (Kids can turn it upside down and the head stays on!)

I used a white ink pad to add definition to his nose and a little on his feet.

Of course, I had to have a cute tag to tie up the candy corn.  This black cat is purr-fect!

Then I decided the tag would make a cute Halloween card.  So I made it all a bit larger.

You can download the black cat tag, in both sizes, HERE.

Gotta love black cat season!  Of course, I have black cat season all year round.  Maybe this black cat tag will find a home with you.

So glad you came by for my first halloween post of the year.  There will be a lot more to come.  ALERT:  Challenge to come next week with a great prize.  Stay tuned!
