Love this image!

I love this vintage image. I've used it to create two different versions of this card. I made one with a banner that says Happy Birthday for my friend, Mika.
The papers are from K and Co. and that pretty ribbon with the yellow roses (knots?) is from Raffitt Ribbon in New York.

Happy Birthday, Bailey

Bailey took Twinkie sushi to her class for her birthday. "Twinkie sushi?" you may be saying. Well, it's really cute. How I understand it, you freeze Twinkies and then cut them into fourths. Then each piece is wrapped with green fruit roll up and gummi fish is placed on top. See a picture here. Bailey's mom had mentioned to me awhile back how much Bailey loves sushi. That immediately brought to mind one of Rosemary Wells' characters: Yoko. Her favorite thing is sushi, so I recommended the book to them. They loved it. So, for Bailey's birthday I designed this card featuring Yoko. Inside it says: Yoko's favorite thing is sushi. Our favorite thing is you!
This card I made for my mom to give to Bailey.

Use It!

I made this card based on the challenge posted on the Use it! blog. The idea is to use your stash. That's a great idea and I need to do a better job to use all the cool stuff I've collected. The challenge this week is to use at least 4 flowers, spring colors and a tag. In the close up picture, you can see my flower layer. I made the lace flower and used a Sizzix die to cut the blue felt flower. I love this paper by Pink Paislee. I've had it awhile - it makes me happy every time I use it!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Isn't she the sweetest?

I love this image, too!

I have this hanging up right now on my door:

New Cards

I really like this bird! It's part of the Porcelain collection from Basic Grey. The paper is K and Co. I just love this little girl and her dog. She looks like she's having a great time!
This image is also sweet. But I made it for my mom to give to my aunt who had to put her much-loved dog to sleep. So, it does make me a little sad!

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

My dad worked for Borden's when he was young. I found this darling pint Borden's ice cream box with Elsie from the 1950s. This is the tag for the top:
I put a little card inside with a restaurant gift card. I think this little guy is so cute with a hot dog in one hand, an ice cream cone in the other, and a soda and banana next to him!

This is the card I made for mom to give to dad. It says "You're the icing on the cake" on the inside.

The stamp is by Anna Griffin and the paper is Melissa Frances.

Beauty is not in the face...

It is a light in the heart - Khalil Gibran. That's the saying on the Webster Page's paper that I used to create this journal. I love the old fashion plate.
I made one for myself and also for a young lady to use for her wedding planning journal. How fun to have her experience saved in a journal.
