Bonjour!

This darling little girl is an image from a 1960's french postcard. I couldn't wait to create a card with her!

Guy birthday cards

These are a couple of guy birthday cards that I've done recently.

I say again, I think they're kind of hard to do. I always want to add something frilly!

Happy Birthday, Curly-Locks!

This is Lauren's birthday card. Curly-Locks is from an old nursery rhyme book we have. You can see her sitting on cushion sewing a fine seam.
Curly-Locks fits Lauren as you can see in this photo (although instead of sewing, she knits):

This is an old porcelain piece we got Lauren for her birthday. I think it is so cute!

And this is a 1960s desk we found for her when we were in Wichita a few weeks ago.

Here are the cupcakes I made for Lauren and mom - red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting.

This is mom's birthday present. She loves paper dolls, so I made her a paper doll display. When she gets a new paperdoll she can display it and then change it out when she wants to.

Lauren comes today!

Lauren will be here this evening! I can't wait to see her - it's been about a month since I saw her last. We'll be celebrating her and my mom's birthdays on Saturday. I made cupcakes today. If I figure out something cute to do with them, I'll post a picture. Here are a couple of cards I've made recently:

I think these Dolly Dingle girls are so cute! I made little tissue roses for their hats. And this is the card (also Dolly Dingle) that I made for Daddy to give to Mom for her birthday:

I can't post what I made for her yet, because she won't get it until tomorrow. Happy Birthday, Mom!

Happy Easter!

Here are a few Easter cards. A couple I actually did last year, but I didn't have a blog then!

A baby book for Shelby Mae

A friend of a friend emailed me and asked me to create a book for a little girl turning one. She had the idea of a book of firsts. This is what I came up with:

Happy Anniversary, Kirby!

This is a card I created for Kirby to give to his wife, Gail, for their anniversary last week. I love silhouettes and am always looking for ones that I would like to use on cards. I thought this one was perfect for an anniversary. I also love the flower. I have them in pink, burgundy, and lilac, too! The paper is new Basic Grey.

Happy Retirement!

Tuesday was my mom's official retirement day! We had a great day. We started with breakfast from Panera, lots of pastries and bagels. Then for lunch we went to Nonna's in Bricktown. The room we were in was beautiful, the service was awesome and the food wonderful! Above is the card I made my mom for retirement and this the plaque that says: Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold. But other times it's essential...to make sure that the most important decision of the day consists of deciding which color to slide down on the rainbow.

Here is a picture of everyone in the office: Kirby, me, Mom, and Mika. This is mom and Fred Ringwald, our boss. Donnie and my mom have been great friends for almost 30 years. Debbie and my mom have been friends that long, too! Are you surprised how long people stay at Triangle? And this is Nancy, my mom's paper doll hunting partner. Happy Retirement, Mom!
