Sweet Easter Basket for MTME

To see the Paper Sweeties sketch, scroll down one post!  Today you can get the entire March Release at My Time Made Easy!   One of the templates Egg-stra Special makes a very pretty egg, but it also makes a very cute basket!

I used the bottom portion of the egg template and added paper from the Botanical Beauties Fortune Tellers Fallen Leaf collection.  The little flowers are from the cut file Blossoming into Spring.

The egg tag tied on the side is a digital stamp from Spring is Here.

Visit the New Products section of the store to see all of the March Release.

Challenge Sketch at Paper Sweeties

It's March 1st!  That means it's time for Paper Sweetie's Sketch Challenge.  Here's the sketch:

This is a great sketch that can be interpreted many different ways.  So come join us!  You don't have to use Paper Sweeties products, but you do get an extra point if you do.

I used Little Wishes and Stand Add-on 5 stamps for my birdcage project.  This birdcage was orange when I bought it.  A little spray paint later and it's really pretty.  Some orange shows through here and there which I decided that I like!

It holds four mini cards and envelopes.  You can see how I used the elements of the sketch on the birdcage and card.

And now a Paper Sweeties announcement:

Instead of our regularly scheduled March *new* stamps being released on the 15th of the month, we bumped up the release schedule so that the *new* stamps are LIVE in the shop TODAY!  Hopefully, releasing the Easter theme stamps early will make it more convenient for you to order your favorite *new* Sweeties stamps and create pretty projects for the upcoming Easter holiday ... spring events ... and more!
To help celebrate the March 1st *new* stamp release, we are offering FREE SHIPPING from March 1st through March 5th on your Paper Sweeties orders ... use FREE SHIPPING coupon code at checkout to redeem your discount!

We'll be showcasing the new stamps on our usual schedule beginning the 13th.

My Time Made Easy March Peeks

You might have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find your prince!   So, with all that puckering up, I'm thinking a display load of lip glosses are in order!  This is a new template available tomorrow at My Time Made Easy called Display.  It comes with optional frog "parts" which I couldn't resist!

Aren't all his little frog parts cute?  He even has hands and webbed feet!   I also used The King's Crown cut file (I elongated it just a little so it would stand taller on his head).

NEWSFLASH:  One lucky person is going to win the entire March release from My Time Made Easy.   It's really easy to get a shot at winning.  Visit all the wonderful designers, pick one project,  leave a comment HERE stating what you like about it and who designed it.   On March 1st, one name will be drawn and that lucky person gets the entire March release!  Cool!

Here are the blogs to visit:

I'm sure it will be hard to pick just one!  Have fun!

Dutch Love

I've always loved Dutch images. And  I always wanted wooden shoes when I was little!   I remember either Mom or Grandma had a tiny pair - Mom, do you remember them?  I just went downstairs to check an old wooden box my grandma gave me with a few treasures and I found tiny moccasins, but no wooden shoes.  When clogs first came out, I was so excited - they were the closest I was ever going to get to real Dutch wooden shoes.

Have you visited Kitschy Digitals?   They have the funnest things!  The elements I used to make this card come from a digital set called Dutch Love.  I just visited the site and noticed that Dutch Love is on sale.  (Promise I'm not getting a kickback!)

I  just love the bright little houses and the pretty heart circle.  I'm loving the frame, too!

Thanks for stopping by!

Ziegfeld Follies

The Ziegfeld Follies, conceived by Florenz Ziegfeld, began in 1907.   Considered higher class than Vaudeville, you could see the likes of W.C. Fields, Will Rogers, Fanny Brice or Bob Hope.  Shows were lavish and sometime risque.

This image is not risque, but is absolutely lovely!    It comes from Moonlighting by Mary.   I visit her store quite often and I wanted to make a card with this image as soon as I saw it!

Hope you're having a wonderful week!

It's Tea Time at Paper Sweeties!

Welcome!  Today I'm showcasing Abigail's new tea party clothes.  Doesn't she look cute all dolled up for tea?

We had a tea party for one of Lauren's birthdays.  We had big floppy hats, pretty skirts and pearls for all the girls.   And of course, pretty china teacups and teapots on the table.  I remember that the girls all had a great time, but I can't remember what we had for treats - I'll have to ask Lauren if she remembers!

I wish I'd had this month's Paper Sweeties stamps to make party favors.  I don't remember what those looked like either!  To create this party favor, I used Abigail, It's Tea Time, and I'm Having a Tea Party.

The sketch challenge is ongoing at the Paper Sweeties blog.  If you leave a comment on a February post, you will be entered to win a $10 gift certificate!

Tea Time Treats with Paper Sweeties

Continuing today with the new stamp release from Paper Sweeties.   Look at that darling little teapot and the cute cup and saucer stamped in each polka dot.  I just love these images!

I decided my tea party needed a little treat of tea bag shaped cookies.  I started looking for a shortbread recipe that I thought would work.  My go-to cookbook is our vintage Fanny Farmer.  The first thing I noticed was that the recipe recommended WASHING your butter.  What!!???

Fanny even explains how to hold the butter and wring it under running water.  I think butter must have come very differently from how we get it now!  Needless to say, I did NOT wash the butter, and luckily everything turned out okay.   This is a very tasty shortbread - especially dipped in chocolate!

All of the new stamps will be available tomorrow at Paper Sweeties.  I used Join Me for Tea and I'm Having a Tea Party on my tea time treat bag.

Lots of excitement going on:

There's still plenty of time to link up your project for the sketch challenge on the Paper Sweeties blog.  If you leave a comment on a February post, you will be entered to win a $10 gift certificate!

Tea for You at Paper Sweeties

How about a peek at the February release at Paper Sweeties?   It's all about tea!  Which I love...my daughter and I have a really hard time passing up vintage teapots and pretty cups and saucers.  Her husband has even suggested that maybe she has enough already!  Dennis has not said that to me - he probably knows  it would be pointless.  But Paul and Lauren haven't been married long enough (but I think he's figuring it out!)

Four new Paper Sweeties stamp sets will be available on February 15th.  I used Tea for Two and Join Me for Tea on my card.  I also used the sweet heart stamp from Stand Add On 5.  These stamps are just lovely.

Don't forget about the sketch challenge on the Paper Sweeties blog.  There's still plenty of time to link up your creation.  Also, if you leave a comment on a February post, you will be entered to win a $10 gift certificate!

Here's some fun news:  Like the Paper Sweeties facebook page.  When we reach 555, one lucky fan will win a $50 gift certificate!  Visit our Paper Sweeties new release event on facebook between Feb. 13th and 20th because one lucky person who shares a project will win a $10 gift certificate!

Also, you can visit these wonderful blogs to see more creations using the new stamps:

Be Mine, Valentine

Did you take a shoebox to school when you were little to decorate as a Valentine mailbox?  I can remember how excited we all were and how fun it was to decorate the boxes with heart doilies and red construction paper.

This little couple reminds me of the valentines from when I was really little.

If you're interested in vintage, you might also be interested in vintage recipes.  At The Past On A Plate, Lauren takes her readers on a culinary time travel.  Many of you got to know Lauren (my daughter)  through Visions of Sugarplums.  Her new project, 1920s Menu Challenge is coming up in March.  She's offering an amazing sourcebook that is available now in ebook form.  It contains 70 recipes and is also pretty to look at!  Her new goodies, like mugs, t-shirts, aprons, pins, magnets,etc... are available at Cafe Press.  You might like to take a look!

So glad you stopped by - have a wonderful week!

Sweet and Simple Valentine Bags

Picked up these awesome mini bags at Michaels the other day.   I just knew they would be perfect for sweet little Valentine bags.

Simply added some tiny flowers and twine on the cutie-pie girl.

And  a lasso and twine on the cowboy.  What's inside?  Something new to me - conversation beans!

You probably already knew about them.  It's fun to add something a little different than conversation hearts (although I think they're fun, too!).    Easy-as-can-be bags that are cute - love that!

Sparkle with MTME

It's the last day of the February Release at My Time Made Easy.  Lots of goodies this month for your little princess.

These little cuties are just  two of several really cute images from the new Something Magical set.  The flag is made from a sentiment and image from Simply Enchanting.  I made some crepe paper fringe for the first time.  It's fun!

I cut the Paper Bag template at about 70% it's normal size and turned it on its side.  A glassine bag with candies fits inside and its all held shut with a small clothespin.

Check out the New Products section for all the new release.

I used the Boo Bag cut file for my bag and the castle from the new Something Magical stamp set.   The sentiment is from the new Simply Enchanting stamp set.
