Planner Monthly Set Up in 30 Minutes or Less

I ooh and aah over all the pretty planners out there.  I need a planner (I hear my mom saying right now "Yes, you do!")  But I just don't have the time to go all out, so I have a system where I only spend about 30 minutes at the beginning of each month getting the whole month ready to go.

I need it to be cute enough that I can stand looking at it, but don't want to spend a lot of time getting it there!

I've had a couple of emails lately asking if I keep a planner and how I set it up.  I put together a quick video showing what I do at the beginning of each month.

I also show how to make this cute pocket I keep in the front to hold my To Do lists and sometimes my pens.

Like I said, I don't do a whole lot.  Just make my To Do Lists and decorate a little with washi tape and maybe a stamp or two.  Can you spy the little red butterflies?  I even keep the same place keeper every month:  my little black cat.  I do change his ribbon to match the month's page colors.  In the video, I'll show how easy it was to make him too!

Here's the video:

Even though I have a planner, I still forget things!  Usually because I forgot to write it in my planner to start with.

Do you keep a planner?  Do you have some suggestions to make it easy and functional?  I would love to hear from you.

Have a lovely week (and if you have a planner, don't forget to write something down)!

Circus Tent Gatefold Card Video

Hi, there!  I love shaped cards.  And this circus tent gatefold is so easy to make!  It would be perfect for a birthday card, invitation to a circus-themed party or even as a thank you.  Check out the video below.

Here's what it looks like closed.  The tent could be made in traditional red and white or any two colors you like.  And you could use twine instead of ribbon to keep it closed.

I added an additional circus character on the left flap and the right flap is to write my message.

I have to say that sometimes circus characters kind of freak me out.  But these stamps are adorable.  See link below.  If you're looking for circus characters that aren't stamps, you might want to check out THIS CIRCUS STEP CARD.

Here's the video on how to make this adorable circus tent gatefold card:

So glad you stopped by and have a lovely week!

Flap Pocket Video + Flower Girl Printable + Winner!

Hi, there!  Have you had a lovely week?  Mine was a bit tense in the middle.  My daughter and her husband moved to Denver on Wednesday and they had a bit of trouble on the road. Two blown out tires on the rental trailer!   I finally breathed about 9:30 that night when they finally arrived safe and sound.

I spent a lot of that time creating these projects to take my mind off the travelers and what can happen on the road.

I created the card first.  Don't you think she'd be perfect for a friend, mom, or daughter?  You could probably come up with a lot of ideas for which she'd be just perfect!

I think this girl is just the sweetest!  I've got her all ready to download in two sizes.  This one is the largest and I used a frame to cut her out.

Next up, this fun flap pocket.  It's got a scallop flap on the front and...

on the back.  It's really easy to make, see the video below.

Download the Flower Girl HERE.

Dropbox seems to work differently for different people.  When image appears, wait a moment and a download button will appear in the top right corner.  If download button does not appear, right click on the image and save as.  I'm always happy to email the image to you, if neither one works!

Now for the winner of the Paper Sweeties $10 Gift Certificate from Wednesday's blog hop:

Congratulations, Mitra!  Email me and I'll send you the info you need to redeem your certificate.

Well, I've heard from Lauren and they seem to be settling in.  So, I'm looking forward to a  more relaxed week coming up.  You have a relaxed and wonderful week, too!
