Paper Sweeties Challenge Time

It's Paper Sweeties Challenge Time!  We've got a color challenge this month.  From the picture above, you probably have no trouble figuring out the color palette.  But just in case, here are the colors:

Isn't she the cutest thing?  What a darling costume!  Perfect fall selection...

I created a 3D pumpkin out of book pages and added color with distress ink.  The sentiment is from Paper Sweeties Happy Fall Ya'll stamp set.  The papers are from Shabby Miss Jenn's Forever Fall.   Visit the Paper Sweeties blog for all the details about October's Challenge.   Would love for you to join us!

Live Your Bliss

We all have a lot of responsibility, but it's important to remember these three little words:  live your bliss.

While I was making this card, I was thinking about what that really means.  We can't do what we want 100% of the time, but we can have and bring joy to others - it's the small moments that count.

Live Your Bliss can mean a lot of things:  the time spent with loved ones, caring for and helping others, creating...   In what ways do you live your bliss?

Halloween Treat Cone

Looking for easy, but still very cool?  Nicecrane Designs Halloween Treat Cone will check off all the boxes!  All the work has been done - just print, cut and glue!

There are two boxes to choose from or you may want both!  I added some tiny black scallop trim to the top to match the black scallop that separates the images.

Included in the set are some circle tags for you to add.  The Halloween Treat Cones will make your Halloween giving easy!  (I'll be showing the little felt ghost in a later post.)  You'll find the cones and lots of other vintage Halloween images at Nicecrane Designs.   (I'll be linking up at Make It Monday tomorrow.)

Dolly Dingle with her Kitty

I just LOVE Dolly Dingle!   When Ignacio adds some more Dolly Dingles to his collection, I always say "Oooh, there's a new Dolly Dingle!"   He's got some darling Dingles in his store, Nicecrane Designs.

I think this image makes a great thank you.  Don't you think the little kitty is saying thank you for that bowl of milk?   My kitty goes crazy when I get milk out of the fridge and whipped cream on desserts - oh, boy!!

Here's a look at the  collection Dolly Dingle Vintage Cards:

Go by and check out the Dingles - you might want one for your collection!

Back to Ladybugs!

For the last day of this month's Paper Sweeties Release, I've gone back to Ladybugs!   I just think these particular ladybugs are as cute as a...bug!!?  They're kind of chubby and happy, don't you think?

I put together a quick set of notecards using the ladybugs and sentiments from the new Cute As A Bug set.   I love this little label with the ladybug.

For the cute as a bug card, I gently curved the acrylic sentiment.

Easy, fun and sweet with the images already doing most of the work!  As before, be sure to check out the Paper Sweeties Blog  for all kinds of pretty inspiration.  See you there!

I'll link up at Make It Monday.

Paper Sweeties Day Two

I've got another drawstring bag today - but this one looks quite a bit different from yesterday's.  This one is made of heavy muslin and pink ribbon.  This one is the same in that features the brand new release stamps from Paper Sweeties.

Isn't that a pretty carriage stamp?  I love those sweet postage stamps, too!  This is a perfect little bag to tuck in a "sweet little something" for a friend.  The finished size on this is about 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".

The new release stamps will be available tomorrow at Paper Sweeties.  Today the Paper Sweeties blog is featuring projects showcasing the new stamps - be sure to take a look!

Ladybug Hugs with Paper Sweeties

It's Paper Sweeties Release Time!  Today, I'm featuring a really cute Ladybug set.  It's got a new costume for the Paper Sweeties dolls and the cutest ladybug stamps.

I made a ladybug bug drawstring bag to go with my Paper Sweetie.  I had bought the red burlap at Michaels sometime ago and I used the same technique I showed here to paint black dots.

Packed inside are some cute ladybug "lollipops" that can be used as cupcake toppers, on a scrapbook page, or used on a card.

Visit the Paper Sweeties blog to see more ideas using the new release which will be available on September 15th.  Have fun!

Boo Bag and a Winner!

I have such fond memories of Halloween - especially when Lauren was little.  Her second Halloween, we had a small party and the highlight was all of my family stationed in different rooms of the house, so the kids and their parents could trick or treat.   Lauren was dressed as a pumpkin, as was most of the other kids!  Must have been the in thing for 1987...

Nicecrane Designs has some awesome Halloween images.  Love the scary pumpkins right outside the window in this one.  She's from the Vintage Halloween set. This bag is super easy to make.  All the pieces are separate - that way it's easy to fill, too!

The bow template is from The Cutting Cafe and the green papers are from Lilly Bimble. I've had the orange paper for so long that I don't even have a clue where it's from!  I printed the green and black dot on regular copy paper to create the bag.  Folded a doily over the top and used a clothespin to clip on the bow and the image.   Be sure to visit Nicecrane Designs to see all the wonderful Halloween images in the store.

Who is the winner of my giveaway from the Paper Haus Blog Hop Day Five?

Congratulations, Laura!   Email me (email at right) with your information and I'll get your package off to you.

Paper Haus Magazine Fall Edition + Giveaway

Welcome to the Fall Splendor Blog Hop in honor of the new edition of the Paper Haus Magazine and the first anniversary!

You can see the entire issue here.  You'll enjoy all the inspiration inside!  I've got a Halloween treat bag card in this issue, so I'm continuing the theme...

I was lucky enough to snag this vintage haunted house die cut off of ebay.

I scanned it in and made it just a tad bit smaller.  A box and handle were all that was needed to create a Halloween treat box.

If you would like a copy of the vintage haunted house, you can download it here.

And now for a giveaway to celebrate the first anniversary of Paper Haus and the fall issue!

One random winner will receive Papertrey Ink's Autumn Hills stamp set, one package of Halloween placecards, two felt owls and a paper mache skull.  To be in the running, just leave me a comment that lets me know you would like to win.  (If you're not already  a follower and you would like to be, that would be awesome, too!)  I'll announce the winner on Saturday evening.

Paper Haus is also having a giveaway so be sure to comment on each blog participating today to win.   If you came to me from Paper Haus then you are ready to go to Melissa Gener.  Here are all of the other Day 5 participants:

Have fun!
