Sew Fruity at My Time Made Easy

Today is release day at My Time Made Easy!  All the new adorable things are now available!

How about this darling basket?   It's called Grammy's Sewing Basket.  I went a little different direction and made a cherry basket.   I had a request for a banner and gift box that were cherry related.  So, the cherry basket was born!

Look at how cool this template is:  it has two boxes on top that each slide open!

The tag was really easy because the cherries are an image from the new Tooty Fruity set.  I colored them with Copics and added pretty ribbon and a button.  And the sweet gingham flags are a digital stamp, as well!

What's inside?  Four of the sweetest chocolate covered cherries (they sure smell good)!  And didn't I mention a banner?

This little banner is so sweet.

I die cut vintage images and papers from Grammy's Pretty Patterns and Picnic of Patterns.

And then just sewed them together.   The Ribbon Card cut file is perfect to wrap the banner on to tuck inside the basket and keep it from tangling.

To see all these goodies and many more be sure to visit the New Product section.  There are lots of wonderful blogs to visit today.  Don't miss a one!

Frame It at Recycle, RePurpose & ReInvent

Time for a new challenge at Recycle, RePurpose & Reinvent:  Frame It!  Of course, that's the bonus round, as always Anything Goes!  Meet Charisma:

I created a little journal with this wonderful image by Chris at CS Designs.   What is recycled you might ask?

All the pages (I also used one on the cover) are from one of my daughter's diaries from when she was four.  She drew pictures and wrote and dictated whole stories for Mommy to write.  I had actually forgotten about the diaries and it was like discovering hidden treasure!  There was quite a bit of paper left in this one, so everytime I open my little journal that paper reminds me of Lauren's sweet stories.

I bound the pages with purple twine and simply tied it in the the center.  At the end of my little  journal, I created a pocket.

I added a tag with a pretty flower that copies the colors in Charisma.

Come join us at Recycle, RePurpose and ReInvent.  The design team all chose different images to showcase.  Thanks for stopping by!

Tooty Fruity at My Time Made Easy

I love watermelon!  Well....let me clarify.  I actually do NOT like watermelon.  But I like watermelon things and watermelon colors (and watermelon Jolly Ranchers).  So I had to make a watermelon gift box when I saw the Tooty Fruity template from My Time Made Easy.

This same template would also make a darling lemon, orange or lime box.  Those cute papers are new this month, too.   I have lots of plastic ants from when I taught school.  I used them for math activities for first graders.  I knew I hung on to them for some reason!

The watermelon stamp and sentiment on this card are from the new Tooty Fruity sets.  I think this would make a darling invite and favor box for a picnic.  The box is easy enough to put together you could make several pretty quickly.

Box and Background at The Cutting Cafe

I'm thinking about Christmas, so that explains why I immediately went to the Christmas goodies when Regina assiged a box and a background for this week's inspiration at The Cutting Cafe.  This Christmas treat is made with the Candy Cane box and  Candy Cane background.

I created the background by combining the red and pink versions of the background.  I just printed the red and then opened the pink and offset it a little and ran the paper back through the printer again to get the pink stripes.  Love how this looks!

The circle sentiment is also from the Candy Cane Box set.  I can't wait to give this sweet treat at Christmas!   Be sure to check out the blog on Monday for the weekly special and on Wednesday for the inspiration (and probably a give-a-way, too).  Have a wonderful week!

Hello Cards

I found these darling journal cards on etsy at LoveCreationGal.   These are just a couple out of the set.

I couldn't wait to create with these - they were certainly calling my name!

What's not to love?  Cute, cute animals and that pretty vintage blue color.

I think I fall for that color every time I see it.

Hope you are having as wonderful a week as me!  But is anyone else beginning to think that Christmas is just around the corner?  Where, oh where, does the time go?

Harlequin 2 at AWNB

Love, love these harlequin faces created by Chris at CS Designs.  I wanted to do something a little different so I thought I would try an art doll.

The shapes behind her head for the spirelli are also from CS Designs.  I used three different embroidery threads on this one.   I have to tell you this doll was so much fun to figure out and put together!

I die cut scallop ovals and folded them in half for her skirt and glued them to a dowel rod.  Her bodice is a wedge shape.  Her arms are twined blue chenille stems.

I like trying to figure out who she really is...her outfit is somewhat Elizabethan and her face is somewhat Middle Eastern...maybe she belongs in a sci-fi feature.  What do you think?

Come join us at Art With No Boundaries - the theme is always Anything Goes.  The bonus round challenge this time is Just Clowning Around.  Have a happy, happy week!

Pretty Bows at The Cutting Cafe

Regina has created such a pretty bow!  It comes in an amazing number of sizes (of course, you can size it to whatever you need to fit your project).  I made this wonderful bow with the Bow Tie and Ribbon set from The Cutting Cafe.

I used it to decorate a gift card holder, which is also available in the store.  This cut file comes in a plain and scalloped version with and without a notch.  I used the notch - the button is sitting on top of it and the top slips into it.

I used some old ledger paper and digital Pink Paislee.  The little circles are from Creations by M.   As always, be sure to check The Cutting Cafe Blog on Monday for specials.  DT inspiration goes up on Wednesday and there is usually a special or give away then, too.  So glad you came by and have a great rest of your weekend!

For You, Dear Friend

I came across these pretty papers and vintage ephemera in a kit called Vintage Charm  by  Quirky Twerp at The Digi Chick.   I used them to create a birthday cone for a friend of mine to give to a friend of hers.

I just love hanging cones or are they mussy tussies?  Or does a mussy tussie have to have flowers inside?

Oh, well either way they make me happy!  That butterfly makes me happy, too!  Love the color of it...  Hope you're having a wonderful week!

Harlequin Spirelli for AWNB

I love Spirelli!  Most of you probably already know what that is, but I wasn't sure when I first heard the term.  At its most simple, it's stringing.  Start with a shape and start wrapping - it really is that simple!  Amazing that something that simple is so cool!  Chris, at CS Designs, has several spirelli shapes to choose from and just look at that darling Harlequin face - isn't it the sweetest?   It's time for a new challenge at Art With No Boundaries.  As always, you can participate with Anything Goes.  Check the blog for all details on the challenge round.

I cut two of the spirelli shapes and then cut them in half and put them together for my background.  Then I attached two different colors of twine and started wrapping (one wrap with the pink alternating with one wrap of the green).  The shape created by the stringing changes depending on how many spaces that are skipped.  For example, on this one I skipped four points each time.

The harlequin is printed on white paper and colored to look like the recycled corrugated cardboard of the tag.  Then I decided I wanted it to look even more like the tag, so I made ridges with my score tool.  I can't wait to attach this tag to a gift bag and watch the smile that is generated by this sweet harlequin!  Come join us at Art With No Boundaries!

My Choice at The Cutting Cafe

Hi, everybody!  So glad you stopped by...   The DT picked a set of their choice for the inspiration that will be posted on Wednesday at The Cutting Cafe.  My choice is Fun With Dress Forms Set.  This set has several cute sentiments, dress form shapes and a dress form card.

This card might be a little busy, but.... it makes me smile!  So, I decided to leave it all on there.   It has lots of the things I love:  ribbon, pretty paper, fabric, buttons, cute accessories.

Join me on Wednesday at The Cutting Cafe blog - we can check out which sets the other DT members chose for their projects.  You might also go by on Monday, because Regina usually posts a great sale.  See you there!

Cosmo 2 for Art With No Boundaries

It's the second week of the Summer Skies challenge at Art With No Boundaries.  Meet Cosmo 2 all in blue floating in the summer sky.

This time instead of embroidering her hair I embroidered the stars.

The lovely Cosmo was created by Chris and is available at CS Designs.   The cool thing about the challenge at Art With No Boundaries is that you don't have to go for the bonus round which is Summer Skies, you can join us for Anything Goes as well.  Talk about easy!  I would love to see you there.  While you're linking up your creation you can take a look at the other wonderful projects featuring Cosmo.   Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week!

Flippin' Awesome at The Cutting Cafe

This week it's all about flip flops at The Cutting Cafe.  On Wednesday, Regina will be posting creations using her flip flop files.  I created my card using the flip flop shaped card.

I actually cut the card apart and created two flip flops and glued them together.   Then I used a single flip flop and adhered it to the left one so I would have a card that opened.  I also used the ladybug shaped card  (sized at 30%) for the flip flop adornment.

I took this picture to try to show the dimension and texture.  I have to say I would totally wear these!  I seem to live in flip flops in the summer - especially around the house.  Having some black and white ones with ladybugs would make me smile every time I put them on!

New Challenges at AWNB & Recycle, RePurpose & ReInvent

Hi, everyone!  Are you experiencing the heat wave?  If so, I hope you're managing to stay cool!

The new challenge at Art With No Boundaries is Anything Goes and the bonus round is Summer Skies.

The new Cosmo image from CS Designs is beautiful!   I colored her with Copics and then embroidered her hair with metallic gold thread.

In my mind, Cosmo became the keeper of constellations.   I remembered these extremely cool constellation cards that I've had forever - the originals are from 1825.  I sewed up a pocket from vintage ledger paper and created some bookmarks to pop inside.

I used four of the constellation cards to create the bookmarks.  I based the color of Cosmo's hair on the lions and the Pegasus.

Now on to Recycle, Re-Purpose and Re-Invent.   This challenge is also Anything Goes as long as you recycle something.

Everything on my card below is created with or stamped on old tractor feed invoices from my office that we no longer use.  I've created all kinds of things with these to decorate for our Christmas lunch at work:  Christmas trees, snowflakes, ornaments...

And now a card!

This cutie is Priscilla and she is also created by Chris at CS Designs.  Be sure to check both blogs for wonderful creations by the DT.  I hope you join us for both challenges -  I would love to see your creations!
