Save Thanksgiving!

Over at the Paper Issues blog, they are running a "Save Thanskgiving" challenge.  Lamenting that stores seem to forget Thanksgiving, putting out Christmas decorations at Halloween, they decided that Thanksgiving needed its due.  So true!  I love fall....love the colors, love pumpkins, turkeys, leaves...  all the things that go with fall.  Dennis and I love having our family gathered at our house for Thanksgiving lunch.  We're busy cleaning this weekend and getting out the Thanksgiving china.  I finally designed my Thanksgiving placecards today.
I got this vintage food label image from Laura's Vintage Garden in digital format.
That cute kraft doily is die cut with one of Papertrey Ink's new dies.  To finish it off, I added a vintage button, some striped ribbon and glittered some little leaves with MS Fire Opal glitter.
Love, love that color glitter!  I can see from my picture, I need to clean up my glitter a little!  Since we are heading into Thanksgiving week, I want to wish you and yours a Happy Thanksgiving!

  5. Gorgeous! It's THE perfect Thanksgiving card. It's a shame how merchants go right from Halloween to Christmas over looking Thanksgiving.

  6. Beautiful Lori! I so totally agree...I love Thanksgiving and hate it that the stores start with the Christmas advertising so early.
