The Sweet Girl with the Really Big Hat

Guess what I did today!  Those of you who thought it would be great for me, will be glad to know I helped Dennis plant flowers and herbs today!  While it wasn't GREAT FUN, it wasn't bad, either.   When they really start blooming, I'm sure I'll feel a sense of accomplishment.  Today it was more fight the wind and face fulls of dirt...
Okay, isn't she the cutest - love her dress and that great hat!  She's printed on transparency (and in case you're wondering regular transparencies do not work in an inkjet printer, however I found on-line at Staples a product by Apollo called Quick-Dry Ink Jet Printer Transparency Film).  Works great!  The background papers are K & Co. and the polka dot background is created with a stamp from Papertrey Ink.  I happened to remember that little bunny punch, which was probably the first punch I ever bought (eons ago).
She's finished off with a flower made from tea-dyed twill.  She looks ready for an Easter egg hunt!   We had several easter egg hunts at our house for Lauren's birthday, complete with egg-in-spoon races.  It was so much fun and the kids all thought it was a special treat!  Do you look forward to an Easter tradition each year?

  11. A hat like that might actually keep me from getting sunburned. I'm afraid my egg-in-spoon skills have atrophied from lack of practice.

Paul and I have given up on gardening. We always forget to water things.

See? I'm back to checking all the blogs I read.
