Pixie Dust Paperie Mini Album

Hi, everybody.  I'm a little late getting this post up for today's reveal at Pixie Dust Paperie.  I was in the emergency room with my husband all night and then went to fill prescriptions this morning.  I was a little afraid he was having a stroke, but they checked everything out and think he's having vertigo.  Not fun, but way better than it could have been!

This mini album from Maya Road is so cute with all its different pages and is an add-on this month at Pixie Dust.  That gorgeous lace on the front and all those pretty papers are a part of this month's kit.
I'm into vintage images so I couldn't resist adding a few.  You can find vintage images many places...two of my favorites are:  The Graphics Fairy and The Vintage Workshop.  I also collect vintage buttons, which can be found at garage sales, antique stores, online...  I used manila tags for the images which can be found at any office supply.  The sheet of Webster Pages stickers that comes in the kit are gorgeous - I used them throughout the mini album.  Look at the cute mini tags I made with the smallest stickers.
This cute little puppy is also a part of the stickers.
I also wanted to show you a closeup of this crown - you get a whole package of these darling Maya Road crowns!  I love them painted and glittered!
I  painted the album vanilla and then aged it with Distressing Inks in fire brick and tea dye.  This album was so fun to make!
Select it as an add-on and when you have a wonderful creation send me a link.   I would love to see your creations!  Remember, the special offer is still on through tomorrow.  The details are on the Pixie blog.  Check it out!

Jolly Holiday Greetings

Baby, it's cold outside!  This card is for the Jolly Holiday Greetings Challenge at Moxie Fab World.   Their survey showed that for most readers the favorite papercrafting creation is cards!  You're probably not surprised.  I love cards...especially Christmas cards...especially Christmas cards with vintage images.  Love this couple!  Aren't they cute with their little red noses skating away hand in hand?
The papers are from Cosmo Cricket, which are oh, so cute, too.  I dyed some seam binding ribbon to match and added bells and a tag. I love the hot chocolate paper running along the bottom.  There's just something special about hot chocolate at Christmas.  We always have hot chocolate as we're putting up the Christmas tree.   Even now, that Dennis and I put the tree up ourselves, without Lauren, we still have hot chocolate.  But, I'm thinking that maybe we should put up the tree when she and her husband are still here at Thanksgiving.  What do you think?

Cutting Cafe Happy Birthday Cupcake!

I love cupcakes (okay, most people do)!  I pretty much think you can't beat a good ol' chocolate cupcake.  The snickerdoodle cupcakes we baked a couple of weekends ago were pretty awesome though!  This cute Happy Birthday Cupcake frame is from The Cutting Cafe.  The font is really cute.  I changed the color to teal to better go with my paper selection.
Regina's digital items are so versatile.  Need a different size, different color?  It's easy!  The papers are from Echo Park.  The pretty shape behind the cupcake is a Spellbinders die and I couldn't resist adding glitter.  It just needed it, you know?
The doily is spritzed with Glimmer Mist and I added a bit of my seam binding ribbon.  This is going to someone who is as cute as a cupcake!

Great Things Come in Small Packages

Hi!  This is my first revealed project for the Pixie Dust Paperie blog.  I love tiny boxes!  I don't know why...I just do.  I also like office supplies (but that's another story).  This tiny box has been made with the very pretty papers in the October kit.  That gorgeous pink seam binding ribbon is also included in the kit.  You're going to love it and that green trim I wrapped around the edge.  It comes on a card of beautiful ribbons and lace.  I added a tag created on the computer and a blue rose from my stash.  The box is a matchbox (the kind you might get as a favor at a wedding).  If you don't have one, google matchbox template - there are several out there.
Can't you see your friend or maybe your mom opening this box and finding a great pair of earrings?   I think I'm gifting it to a friend with one of my soldered charms inside.  Remember, shopping and the special offer starts tomorrow at Pixie Dust Paperie.  And even though your kit won't come in a tiny box, it will contain great things all the same!  I'm curious, is there anybody else out there that likes tiny boxes?

The Bride

I'm still working on my cousin's cards for her Women's Friendship Dinner.  The theme is Wedding.  I could not get a good picture of this card.  I finally resorted to holding it up by our french doors.  Sometimes photography is frustrating!  The challenge this week at City Crafter is to use a doily and a flower.  I thought this might tie into the wedding theme quite nicely.  I spritzed a doily with Cherub Glimmer Mist and cut out the middle.  Then I gathered the scalloped edges of the doily and added the silk flowers, kind of creating  a mini bride bouquet.
The bride's veil is sprinkled with glitter.  I used Papertrey Ink stamps to create the background.  The decorative paper is Graphic 45 and Fancy Pants.   Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great week!
