Yesterday, Dennis and I went out to my parents for Father's Day lunch. Mom had two of my favorites: deviled eggs and cornbread pudding! It was so nice to talk and laugh with them. (The only thing that could have made it better was if Lauren had been there too!)
My mom and dad live on a small lake, so even though it was too hot to go outside, the water was so pretty. Dennis was surprised the lake was so full as dry as it's been. Mom and Dennis got into a conversation about wells and time allotted to use it....

I'm sure you can already tell that I love this image. I found it at All Time Fashions on Etsy. It's actually Jack and Jill, but I decided to go with a cherry theme. She's got cherries on her dress and I decided the water pail can just as easily hold cherries!
I also had a package of those cool cherries you see there in the upper left corner and I wanted to use them!
I picked them up at Michaels...there are quite a few in a package and the cherries come double and single. Happy that you stopped by and I hope you're having a great week so far (oh, has it been hot here)!

I created another Father's Day tin using items from the set Cruisin' by to say Hi. Love the classic car! The sentiment and "honk" circle also come from this set. (By the way there are 98 images included!) Also used some K&Co papers and some wood veneer I picked up at Michaels. I told about the tins in my previous post, so I won't tell it again! I created a Father's Day tin using a Macanudo Exquisite Cigar tin. I found an entire box of these at a local antique store - I just love them! I used papers from Bo Bunny and the banner was made with a die from Papertrey Ink.
The inside has what I call a "Postcard Card" - meaning that it doesn't open, it just has a front and a back.
Also, inside CHOCOLATE (and how about a gift card?)!
All of that will fit comfortably inside. Just curious, what do you call your dad? I call mine Daddy, just like when I was little. I LOVE my daddy very much...

Regina at The Cutting Cafe recently added a couple of cute Surfboard sets. I used the Assorted Surfboard set and the Surfboard Card set, which includes the Hang 10 sentiment circle.
I thought this old American Airlines Hawaii card was a good match for the surfboards. Inside, I used the Happy Summer sentiment (forgot to take a picture of the inside). Here's wishing each of you a happy summer!
Whew! Are we having hot weather! It's way early for 90s, but here we are and me a cool weather girl... Dennis got out yesterday to take care of some limbs that had blown down during our last storm and I worried a little bit about heat exhaustion. Besides the weather, it's been a nice, quiet weekend. How about with you?
As soon as I saw this sweet butterfly fairy at The Graphics Fairy, I knew I wanted to make a card. (I say sweet...however, I do notice she's holding a riding crop. Yikes!) I used a Papertrey Ink die to make the shaped edge and stamps to make the blue tabs. The frame behind her is a Spellbinder's die and I also used it as a stencil. Anyway, I hope you've had a great weekend and wish a wonderful week to you, too!

I chose this cute little bunny fairy to make a baby box. I colored her with copics and then highlighted her with some distress ink. I left part of the front so that it can be personalized.
The papers are K&Co and the stamp along the bottom is from Papertrey Ink. I don't need a baby box yet, but when I do I'll have it ready to go! I figure the box will make a great gift holder and then can be a little box in which to keep tiny memories. I have Lauren's last binky packed away in a box similar to this one. It's fun to open it up and look at what's inside and think happy thoughts!
