Kirby Cards

Hi, everybody!  Well, I'm happy to say I finally got my car washed today!  Everytime I thought about washing it, it either was raining or looked like rain.  My poor car was AWFUL!!!  While I was waiting on it, I kept watching this darling little (I'd say three years old) girl run around outside and I kept worrying a car was going to run over her.  Then when her mother's car was ready, her mom takes off for the car and leaves the little one trailing after her.  Instead of waiting at the car for her mom to open the door, she runs off behind the car and runs into Northwest Highway.  I about had a heart attack!!   Her mom runs after her and yells and spanks, and carrys on like crazy.  To me, it was obviously the mom's fault - why on earth would she let that little one anywhere near cars without holding her hand?????  Sorry for the rant, but PLEASE!!!  On to happier things...

Kirby, a guy I work with, special orders a lot of cards from me.   Here are a couple I've done for him recently.  This one is for his anniversary.
The bird image is from doll face design.  I also did this one for his son, who just graduated with his MBA.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

A Year in Review: My Time Made Easy

As I said yesterday:  Love.  This.  (Bloomin' Wonderful) Template.  And this little party favor or party cracker is one of the reasons why!

This is two Bloomin' Wonderful templates from the My Time Made Easy May release - one slipped inside the other.  Again, this is at 60 percent the template's normal size.  I simply rolled one a tiny bit tighter than the other so it would easily slip inside.  That makes the little cracker perfect:  just slide out one end.  No destroying the pretty creation to get at what's inside...  Here is a shot showing one side part way out:

And all the way:

I thought you might want to see an end shot:

Here you can see the black paper I printed on the other side of the pink.  These are both from the Serenity Pretty Impressions paper.  How about one more project using the same papers and that darling butterfly?

The butterfly is from the Bloom Builders Cut File.  The heart was cut using the Flag Em' Cut File.    This party favor clip is also a magnet.  I put a little magnet on the back of the clothespin.

Easy and cute!  I put my daughter's name on it.  We'll be seeing her soon and I just imagine I'll have a little something to slip inside the glassine bag!

There is a lot of inspiration to enjoy today:

Bloomin' Wonderful at My Time Made Easy

Soooo cute and fun!  Love.  This.  Template.   I have a friend who has asked for some goodies for her luncheon party.  One of the things Elizabeth asked for are placecards - fun ones, of course!  The Bloomin' Wonderful template from My Time Made Easy seems like a perfect way to fulfill that request.  I made it at 60 percent it's normal size.

And added a flower using the Bloom Builders template.  And look at these gorgeous papers from the new Vintage Flourishes Bright Set.  Perfect for a spring luncheon, don't you think?

Among other things, Elizabeth also wants a little book with three pages so she can write a short note and put in a couple of tiny pictures.  These will also be at each place setting.  I used the new Cover A Card Cut File and a digital stamp from the Fine Finish Set.

I simply sewed together at the top the three pages and the insert to Cover A Card.   To see all the new products, visit the New Releases section of the store.

Elizabeth loves these!  Now I've got to get busy making more and creating the other goodies for her...

Be sure to check out these blogs, who are also showcasing Bloomin' Wonderful:

Strawberry Jar for The Cutting Cafe

Happy, happy to be back with The Cutting Cafe!  Regina is awesome and creating with her files is fun! This week I chose the Jar Shaped Card Set to showcase.

It comes with a candy jar, cookie jar, and a canning jar.  You can see I used the canning jar with one of the "fillers" included in the set.

The set also includes sentiments and different toppers like the green one I cut here.   I cut all the pieces using my cricut.  The top layer is cut out of vellum.  I colored the strawberries with copics and also outlined the jar in cool gray and light blue.  Hard to photograph, but it really looks like the strawberries are inside the jar!  This is such a fun set!

Regina will be posting the inspiration pictures on the blog on Wednesday.  I'm going to be checking out all the wonderful projects - join me!

Group Post: Blooming Wonderful Ideas

Welcome to the May 1st group post for My Time Made Easy!  Three new templates are being released today and all three are being featured by the design team.  Of course, there are gorgeous new papers, cut files and stamps, too!  You can see it all in the new releases area of the store.

I'm featuring the Treasured template which makes a darling treasure chest.  Yeah, I know, mine doesn't look much like a treasure chest!  That's because it's not!  It's very versatile - as you can see, I created a travel case.

I added  a handle, (using a method I learned from Lauren several years ago) which are the silver pieces off a small office clip.  I also embossed it to look like leather (at least I think it does).  The addition of some vintage travel stickers and tickets finish off the look.

It's nice and roomy.  Big enough for some Burt's Bees and there in the back you can see the new Wallet of Wishes cut file peeking out.

It's a great template:  perfect for pictures, a gift card, little notes....

I'm so glad you came by today to visit.  And visit all the other DT blogs to see their fabulous creations:

Preview Day: My Time Made Easy

Time for fun - time for Dad!  You are in for a treat with this month's release from My Time Made Easy.  Today, I'm showcasing the Blue Collar Template - it's a fun shirt-shaped box.  Perfect for a Father's Day treat...

I'm also showing a couple of images from a wonderful new digital stamp set called A Vintage Day for Dad.   These are wonderful vintage-looking stamps and come in lots of colors!

I also put together a simple gift card holder using a glassine bag and a couple of the really cool new papers and stamps.

I always mention how I like gift cards and I love creating cute ways to give them.  Just slip the tag and card inside the bag - way easy!

I filled the shirt box with Lundt Lindor Truffles in dark chocolate and hazelnut milk chocolate.  I had never tried them, but came highly recommended by my friend, Linda. They are yummy!  The gift card holder fits neatly inside, too.   All of this, plus a LOT more, will be available at the My Time Made Easy store on May 1st.  In the meantime, visit these blogs for more wonderful creations:

Favorite Stamp at Craft Us Crazy

I don't know why I have such a problem selecting favorites - favorite color, embellishment, etc... I just can't do it!  But, of course I had to have a project for this challenge at Craft Us Crazy, so select a stamp I did.   Our sponsor for the Favorite Stamp Company challenge is none other than Jeri herself.  And it's a great prize - $15.00 gift certificate to your favorite on-line craft store!

I love LuLu.  Isn't she adorable?  There are several stamps featuring LuLu at Stamping Bella.  She's just so fun to color!  I like to make her a little shabby chic.

I used one of the LuLu's earlier and just purchased several more and I can't wait to get them!

All the details for the challenge and DT projects are at the Craft Us Crazy blog.  Come join us!
