PaperHaus Magazine Summer Release + Blog Hop

Please scroll down one post to see the second day of Paper Sweeties Sneak Peeks!

It's time for another edition of PaperHaus Magazine!  The Summer Release is all about mixed media.  Welcome to Day 3 Blog Hop!

This is  a lovely issue.  Click here to go check it out.

I made my first mixed media piece for the  magazine.  It was fun (and a little scary) to do my own drawing.  This sweet little girl is a companion to the sweet little girl in the magazine.

I used a cupcake liner on her dress (and also on the little girl's dress in the magazine).
By the way, you can click on any project in the magazine and get a much larger view.

In honor of the Summer PaperHaus Magazine, I've got a giveaway!

It's easy to win.  Just tell me in a comment below that you would like to win the giveaway.  The winner will be announced Saturday.   If you choose to become a follower, that would be awesome!

If you would like to start the blog hop from the beginning, go to the PaperHaus Magazine blog.  If you would like to proceed to the next stop, visit Georgia Heald. at her lovely blog.

Paper Sweeties June Release

Paper Sweeties June Release Sneak Peaks continue!  We've got a wedding theme for June, but as you may have seen yesterday with my Color Your Own Paper Dolls notecards , they can be very versatile.

I printed this cone onto textured cardstock and then scalloped the top.  Added a silver banner (the With Love sentiment is from the new Best Wishes set) to the side and a tag (using the small frame and postmark cancellation images from the new Love set) to the top.  This could certainly be a wedding favor, but it could also hold a little birthday or gift for a friend. Or your mom or sister...

This reminds me of the tiny schueltutes I used to make for every first day of school for my students. I would talk about (and show pictures) of the German custom.

Parents fill a huge schueltute and leave it in the cloak closet for their child on the first day of school.  I made little ones - usually started with a party hat and added tissue to the top.  I filled it with pencils, erasers, little trinkets and treats.  It would be on their desk when they arrived at school.  They were a big hit!

Spring (Cleaning) Gift Box for MTME

Scroll down one post to see my Paper Doll Notecard Kit for Paper Sweeties!

Okay, I have to admit I fudged this assignment for My Time Made Easy a bit.  Instead of doing a spring gift box, I twisted it a bit and did a spring cleaning box as a gift to me!  This is the Trendy Tool Tote template and it would be darling for a spring gift to a friend.

I used it to house some buttons and trim that a friend gave to me.  They've been stuck in a sack and  needed to get out!  The paper is from Candy Kisses.

I used the Ribbon Card Cut File to wrap the trim around.  This is much better than jumbled in a sack!  See the New Products section of the store for the June Release.  I'm sure these lovely ladies have great spring gift ideas:

Have a great Sunday!

Thank you so much for the emails and comments asking about our well being.  It was scary on Friday night:  tornado after tornado VERY close to us.  We have been so lucky and are so sad for others in our area.  Thank you again for your concern and prayers!

Color Your Own Paperdolls

Mom - this is for you!  My mom loves paper dolls.  She collects them and fondly remembers playing with them as a child.  I keep an eye out for vintage paper dolls to add to her collection.  Mom, these aren't vintage, but they are cute!

Paper Sweeties has darling girl (and boy) stamps and clothes that are perfect for paper dolls.  This kit is packed in an armoire box (here's the side view).

Paper dolls, clothes, notecards, envelopes, seals, and crayons are all packed inside.

Just add tabs to the clothes to change them into paper doll clothes and check to see if anything needs to be done to "doll" for the tabbed clothes to fit.  For example, Abigail needs her hair cut away from her shoulders so the tabs can be slipped over her shoulders.

Paper Sweeties is gearing up for the June Release.  For this kit, I used the new Faith Hope Love and Wedding Day sets.  The Paper Sweeties blog is showing sneak peeks today.  Let's go see what everyone's created!

Christmas Treat House for MTME

Scroll down one post to see the new June Paper Sweeties sketch and my take on it.

Yesterday was Halloween in May.  Today it's Christmas in June!  I have a different template to show you though.  This one is Carry It.   Tt works great as a house, too and you can find it at My Time Made Easy.

The door, windows and wreath are from the new set There's No Place Like Home.  The snowman is a digital stamp (Made of Snow) and the sentiment is from Homemade Holiday Sentiments.  I love this diagonal stripe paper.  It is from the Candy Claus papers.

Check these blogs for other house and housewarming ideas:

Check out the New Products section at My Time Made Easy to see the entire June release.  So glad you stopped by!

June Paper Sweeties Sketch

It's time for the new Paper Sweeties Sketch!  Here it is:

And here's my card:

The sentiment is from Live Love Grow.  To find that stamp set and many more check out the Paper Sweeties store.  Check out the Paper Sweeties Blog for all the information and prize for the Sketch.  I would love for you to join us!

Halloween Treat Box for MTME

Halloween in May - love little houses, love Halloween - it hardly matters that it's not really Halloween time!  And it hardly matters that this template is really not a house!  But that's what I saw when I looked at it.  It's called Tapered Off,  it can be used for ANY occasion, and it's new from My Time Made Easy.

I was really amazed when I opened up the new stamp set and saw a door and windows - that worked perfectly!   And look at that sweet little wreath (I think they probably had Christmas in mind, but I thought I could add a few black stars and that might make you think of Halloween)!
The kitty and pumpkin are a digital single (Purr-fect Pumpkin).   So great that the digital images can be printed out just the size I need.

The tag hanging on the side was cut using Homemade Holiday Labels.  The sentiment and star flags were printed from Hauntingly Homemade Labels.

Let's find out what all the other ideas are for the Tapered Off template - we can find them here:

Have fun!
