Felt Teddy Bear Treat Pocket

Sweet Teddy Bears - Aren't they adorable?  National Teddy Bear Day is September 9th.  I couldn't let it go by without a tiny celebration.  Especially since I've been locating all of Lauren's old clothes and toys that have long been packed away.

I came across a box of stuffed animals with one of Lauren's first teddy bears.  He's almost thirty one years old!  Look at his poor paw with the top layer coming off.  I think he'll love to see Louisa and hold an honored place in her room, too!

I've got a video showing how to make the felt teddy bear pocket and a printable for the teddy bear tag and sentiment.

You can download the teddy bear tag and sentiment HERE.

Dropbox seems to work differently for different people.  When image appears, wait a moment and a download button will appear in the top right corner.  If download button does not appear, right click on the image and save as.  I'm always happy to email the image to you, if neither one works!

I filled my teddy bear treat pocket with gummie bears.  Seems appropriate!

Here's the video on making the teddy bear treat pocket:

So glad you stopped by.  Have a Happy National Teddy Bear Day!

Flap Pocket Video + Flower Girl Printable + Winner!

Hi, there!  Have you had a lovely week?  Mine was a bit tense in the middle.  My daughter and her husband moved to Denver on Wednesday and they had a bit of trouble on the road. Two blown out tires on the rental trailer!   I finally breathed about 9:30 that night when they finally arrived safe and sound.

I spent a lot of that time creating these projects to take my mind off the travelers and what can happen on the road.

I created the card first.  Don't you think she'd be perfect for a friend, mom, or daughter?  You could probably come up with a lot of ideas for which she'd be just perfect!

I think this girl is just the sweetest!  I've got her all ready to download in two sizes.  This one is the largest and I used a frame to cut her out.

Next up, this fun flap pocket.  It's got a scallop flap on the front and...

on the back.  It's really easy to make, see the video below.

Now for the winner of the Paper Sweeties $10 Gift Certificate from Wednesday's blog hop:

Congratulations, Mitra!  Email me and I'll send you the info you need to redeem your certificate.

Well, I've heard from Lauren and they seem to be settling in.  So, I'm looking forward to a  more relaxed week coming up.  You have a relaxed and wonderful week, too!

Simply Sent

I picked up this sweet Simply Sent kit at Stampin' Up a while back.  It's just darling as a stationery set.  It comes with ready to fold- - already scored envelopes, notecards, twine, and flower dots.

I wanted to do a little something else with it - it seems I just can't leave well enough alone!

So the envelope became a treat pocket.  That was easy to do - it just took one staple!  I had to be sure to catch the bottom flap.

I decorated the top flap with the cute flower circle that comes with the kit - along with some felt, seam binding and a tag.

I added some other goodies from Stampin' Up.  I made a tag with Starburst Sayings and the Starburst framelit dies that match.   Both the stamps and dies are also available in a bundle.

I wrapped one of the note cards around the candy bar to decorate it a little.  And then decorated the other for a place to write my note.  isn't it sweet?  It will be perfect for a dear friend!

The best news is that this awesome set - Simply Sent - is on sale for only $3.19!  I couldn't believe that great price when I went to make the link.  If you want a Simply Sent set, you might better hurry, I think it is only available until it runs out.  (ETA:  The following offer begins Jan. 28th!)

Another great deal is that for every purchase of $50 in Stampin' Up merchandise, you get to select a free item from a pretty awesome selection.  (When you place your order, it will prompt you to add the free items.) Two of my favorites are the banner punch and Banner Blast stamps.  I'll be sharing some creations with those later.
