"Easy as Pie" Shaker Card

You may be able to tell that I've been scrounging around in my old paper stacks.  I'm trying to tame the beast - my paper stacks look like hoarder territory.  So far, I've chopped a bunch of it into 6x6 and recycled extras of anything that I don't just love.  At first, it was almost like cutting off my arm, but it's gotten easier!  This is some old Basic Grey (I think).

It was fun to go through all the 6x6 pieces to see what would work with this adorable girl and her kitties (you can download her below).  Once I settled on the old Basic Grey, I created the easiest shaker card ever. Seriously, easy as pie.  Not as easy as making pie, easy as eating pie!

All you need is a plastic bag and sequins.  I found stapling it to the cardstock was the best method for keeping it in place.  See?  Easy as (eating) pie - just not as tasty!

Have you got (hoarded) some old paper?  Drag it out and make something cute!

  6. So CUTE!!! And certainly seems easy as eating pie! :) I never thought to make a shaker that way.. sounds waaayyy easier than the way I normally do it! hahaha I did have a huge stash of paper too... I cut it down quite a bit back in December when I was on Winter Break from work/school. I have 13 bins of paper now compared to my 30 bins... so that's pretty darn good... I gave it away to some crafty people who couldn't afford much on craft supplies... I feel better knowing they can get some use out of it since I'll probably never get around to using it.... Of course my 6x6 stash is a different story... I just can't seem to part with it.... and I use a lot more Digi Papers these days, because it takes up a lot less storage!!! All I need is my Computer for that! tehehehe Have a wonderful day Lori!!!! :)
