Hexagon Card for The Cutting Cafe

Hello!  Very nice to be back.  Oh, my - what a week!  Dennis was admitted to the hospital last Sunday with acute pancreatitis caused by gall stones.  At first, the doctor thought it might take weeks to get his pancreas normal enough to do gall bladder surgery - it was that serious.   But, it's been best case scenario all the way through.  He had gall stones removed on Thursday and then had gall bladder surgery on Friday.  We came home late Friday!   His recovery will take a little while longer than usual due to the pancreatitis.  He's so weak from not being able to eat.  But we are so grateful that everything went so well (and that he didn't have to spend weeks in the hospital).  We are exhausted, but I was able to do a little cardmaking today.

This week it's all about the Hexagon card at The Cutting Cafe.  I used the Hexagon shaped card and the background from the Hexagon Shaped Card Set

The background is the open hexagon shapes, which I cut with my Silhouette.   Love that!  Regina will have more inspiration on The Cutting Cafe Blog on Wednesday.   Have a wonderful week (I'll hopefully be catching up on sleep!)

  5. Poor Dennis... Please wish him a speedy recovery. On a much lighter note now: your card has a beautiful shape and is wonderfully decorated, but then again you always know how to do this!

  7. I'm glad you got to get back to some card making. I talked to Daddy today and let him know that I do, in fact, have the recipe for the amazingly delicious Jeni's ice cream we tried this weekend. :-)

  9. Hi my dear friend, how are you?
Wow Lori, most beautiful thing that I liked too, all very beautiful ... like I wanted to live close to you!!
My dear, I would like to apologize for the absence, but I'm still running hard, my house on the farm is almost ready and I have to go over there every week and monitor the work, because unlike you, here are all our homes in masonry and takes a little longer to do.
But I see you still doing things beautiful, congratulations!
A big hug and God bless you!
