Happy 2015 + Free Image

Hi there!   Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday with their family.  We had fun, especially with a two year old, a BIG dog, and an old cat.  Charlotte (my daughter's niece) turned two on Christmas day.   Lauren and Paul have a puppy (and I use that term loosely), Percy, who is an Airedale and already 40 pounds!  Kitty is scared to death of him, although Percy just seems to want to play!

Kirby always asks for a special New Year's card for his wife, Gail.  Their first date was on New Year's Eve a long time ago (Ha!).

These little angels are so cute, aren't they?  You can download this sweet image HERE.  Just right click and download.

This is a picture of the Yule Log that Dennis and I made for Christmas Eve.  Don't the meringue mushrooms look real?  Dennis made those!  We also had Lasagne Roll Ups and they were awesome.  I should have time to get together recipes this week for those of you who are interested.  (Including the homemade marinara sauce that you asked for Laura Strack!)

What will you do for New Year's Eve?  Have a party?  Go to an event?  Sleep?

Whatever it is, I'm wishing you all the best for 2015!

New Year's Time at The Cutting Cafe

How are your Christmas preparations going?  I just got through baking and decorating sugar cookies for our office Christmas lunch tomorrow.  It's been quite dreary today and now I hear raindrops falling.  (We still need rain, though, after our drought this summer.)

Regina has quite a few New Year's sets available at The Cutting Cafe.  I used the Happy New Year's Frame from the Happy New Year's set and the circle from her new set It's New Years Time.  I think this little tag would be perfectly happy hanging from either a gift bag or a bottle of wine.

Ginger Scrapstreet Magazine has included my circus train in their Circus fun section.  If you haven't seen the December edition, check it out!

My daughter, Lauren, had a recipe published in Ruche's A Homemade Holiday.  It's a really cool publication, you might like to take a look.

Regina will have all the DT New Year inspiration posted Wednesday evening at The Cutting Cafe blog.  And I'm sure she'll have some sort of giveaway - check it out!

Happy New Year!

Do you have plans this evening to ring in the New Year?   Dennis and I are cooking our own steak and potato dinner - just a quite evening in...whether I'll be able to stay up until midnight is up in the air!  I'm usually the "early to bed, early to rise" type.  I've been known to fall asleep and miss the whole thing!

I had a couple of requests for New Year's cards.
Kirby, one of the guys I work, with always gets his wife a New Year's card.  I think it 's a special night for them, besides being New Year's.  Did you propose on New Year's, Kirby?
And one of my best customers, Suzanne, ordered a couple for friends.   Vintage images, of couse and pretty dyed seam binding ribbon.  Oh, such sweet things.  Happy, happy 2011 to all of you!

Happy New Year!

Hope you had a wonderful New Year's Eve. We went with Lisa and John to eat and see Sherlock Holmes. I thought Sherlock was really good. It was fun and different from previous actors' Sherlock Holmes portrayals. Although there is also a lot of similarities, just a little grittier. The above card was done for Kirby (who I work with) to give his wife. There first date was on New Year's Eve so they still give each other a little something. Isn't that sweet?

My mom and dad's 48th wedding anniversary was this week. Here are a couple of cards I did for them to give each other. This one was for Mom to give to Daddy. Made from lots of Jenni Bowlin, including her new calendar cards.

This one was for Daddy to give to Mom. I think the image is so sweet!

Happy Anniversary, Mom and Dad! I love you!
