Scraplift at Pixie Dust

It's challenge time at Pixie Dust Paperie!  It's a Scraplift challenge, open from Oct. 20 to Nov. 5.  Just pick out an October DT creation and give it a spin, give it a new look.  Kirsty is offering some great prizes:  one lucky winner will win a $15 gift certificate to Pixie Dust and one winner will receive 4 yards of hand dyed crinkle ribbon!  The Winner and Top 3 will be showcased on the Pixie blog.  There are some simple rules to follow:  become a follower of Pixie Dust, use the "I love Pixie Dust Paperie" badge, and link back to the blog.  Check out complete details here.  I have a sample here of a scraplift (and check out the blog for the other DT samples):

I chose Kirsty Vittetoe's Love Notes to scraplift.  Isn't this box gorgeous?
And here's a sample of the love notes she created for her daughter's lunchbox and her husband's suitcase.
You can see Kirsty's original post here.  I really love Kirsty's project and when she suggested a scraplift, it was the first thing that came to mind.  I put a spin on her project by changing it to valentine postcards and changing the color scheme.  You can see some of the similarities in the design of the cards.  I enlarged the Artisan Box pattern from Papertrey Ink to fit  my cards.
I used Pink Paislee and My Mind's Eye papers.
One of the details I really like on Kirsty's project is the pretty spiral flowers.  I had to include a couple of them on mine.
And of course, it's hard for me to do anything without vintage images and I LOVE vintage valentines.
This little girl is one of my favorite stamps.  I haven't used her in awhile, but something made me think of her.
She's paired with some cute PTI heart stamps and a pretty vintage button.
  Aren't this couple adorable?
Be sure to check out the rest of the examples of Scraplift and the details of the challenge at Pixie Dust Paperie blog.  Join us in the challenge!
