Felt Teddy Bear Treat Pocket

Sweet Teddy Bears - Aren't they adorable?  National Teddy Bear Day is September 9th.  I couldn't let it go by without a tiny celebration.  Especially since I've been locating all of Lauren's old clothes and toys that have long been packed away.

I came across a box of stuffed animals with one of Lauren's first teddy bears.  He's almost thirty one years old!  Look at his poor paw with the top layer coming off.  I think he'll love to see Louisa and hold an honored place in her room, too!

I've got a video showing how to make the felt teddy bear pocket and a printable for the teddy bear tag and sentiment.

You can download the teddy bear tag and sentiment HERE.

Dropbox seems to work differently for different people.  When image appears, wait a moment and a download button will appear in the top right corner.  If download button does not appear, right click on the image and save as.  I'm always happy to email the image to you, if neither one works!

I filled my teddy bear treat pocket with gummie bears.  Seems appropriate!

Here's the video on making the teddy bear treat pocket:

So glad you stopped by.  Have a Happy National Teddy Bear Day!

Macaroon Card and Treat Box Printable

Take two and call me in the morning!  That's one of the fun sentiments from the Bonjour stamp set.  Wouldn't that be great if it would really work?  Who wouldn't want two macaroons instead of two pills?

I needed another thank you note for a lovely gift for soon-to-be-here (November), Louisa and her grandma.

I thought you might need another thank you note, too.  So I created a macaroon card and a box ready for you to print.  The back of the card is a chevron print.   I even have a video with tips on the box and card ideas and how to make the box from your own paper.

I love this cute little box.  Isn't it pretty with the macaroons inside?   You could use it for things other than macaroons:  cookies, candy, jewelry....

Here's the video:

In case, you missed it in the video the paper size is 7 1/2 x 7 1/2".   Here are the scores for the box:

1.  On three sides score at 1 3/4".
2.  On the fourth (or top side if you have directional paper), score at 1/2", 2 1/4" and 4".

One of the ideas for the card, would be to package up a set of the cards to give as a gift.  People can always use cute thank you cards.   The tag I clipped to the glassine bag is part of the printable (you could also use it as an inside the card sentiment).

One more fun idea: add cute kawaii faces!  In the video, I show how fast and easy it is to add the faces and a doodled frame.

When image appears, wait for a bit and the download button will appear in top right corner.  It seems that dropbox may work differently for different people.  The image may appear by itself with no download button, if this happens right click and save.   If you have any trouble, don't hesitate to email me.  I will email you the files.

Before you go, I've got a couple of Cherry's cards to share with you.  She used my Kitty Flair and Kitty Cup of Tea Printable on her cards and pinwheel.  They are so pretty!

Thank you for sharing, Cherry!

If you have someone who needs a sweet thank you, send them a macaroon card - a little sweet for a sweet.

Have a fabulous week!

This Week Needs a Friday.....Free Printable Card(s)

This week needs a Friday....right meow!   Fridays can perk you right up - funny how that happens!

Fridays are also great, because that's often when we head off to Wichita to see my daughter and her husband.  I just got back from a quick visit and it was terrific to see them, but guess what?  I got to feel little Louisa rolling around making her presence known!  (In case you missed it previously, my daughter, Lauren, is due in late October and is having a girl - Louisa.)  We spent most of two days stocking up on things that all new babies need - such cuteness!

I've got some cuteness here too.  A cat card printable you can send to a friend, showing a little solidarity with that Friday lover.  Or maybe show a little empathy with someone who needs a break - right now!

You can print this card twice to create a shaker card and then use the left over pieces to make another card.  Or you can, of course, just print it once and still have a cute card.

The fun sentiment is included in the download.

I just love this cat:  droopy eye, droopy ear and all!  I get all draggy when I need a Friday right meow, so I totally get it.  You can print this guy twice to make a shaker card and have some pieces left over to make another card.

This is the card I made with the left over pieces.  You could, of course, just print it out as is and it would be super cute.  But, if you would like to, here's how to make the shaker card and cat circle card:

I printed mine on 120lb cardstock.  That makes a lovely, stout feeling card.

These are the pieces to set aside if you're making the shaker card first.  (All you need for the second card is to make a card base.  Plus any embellishments.)

For the shaker:

Additional tips:

1.  I used double sticky tape to adhere the craft plastic to the front panel.
2.  I used a paintbrush to paint glue on the circle frames so they would be covered with
glue.  That way the glue doesn't ooze and the sequins can't sneak out.  (You know they
want to.)  I used double sticky tape to adhere the circle to the craft plastic.
3.  Place the sequins the middle of the cat so that you don't accidentally glue them to the
circles.  You can also strategically glue a couple of sequins where you like them.
4.  It's easier to line everything up if the circles are glued to the front panel.  At least, that is
     my experience.

There are many ways to do a shaker card.  This is the easiest for me.

When the image comes up, wait for a bit and the download button will appear in the top right corner.  If you have any trouble, just let me know and I'm happy to email it to you.

Keep this in mind when you or someone you know needs a Friday right meow!
Hope we all have a lovely week:  no droopy eyes or ears, please.
